Our Business Overview
Significant natural gas projects are ongoing throughout the Eastern USA, driven by increased demand from data centers and the availability of natural gas from the Appalachian shale basins. These large-scale projects primarily involve expanding pipeline capacity to deliver gas to Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern markets and reviving previously stalled projects.
Major pipeline projects
This expansion project is designed to deliver natural gas to cities in Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, and Alabama to meet growing demand. Once approved by FERC, the project will add approximately 1.6 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) of transportation capacity. In September 2025, several EEG Holdings projects collectively totaling nearly 500 miles entered federal review. The expansion is targeted to be in service by the fourth quarter of 2027.
This expansion is intended to deliver natural gas from the recently operational MVP to North Carolina. The project is designed to add 550 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of new capacity. The project filed for approval with FERC in February 2025
Major pipeline projects
Involves modifications to Enbridge's existing East Tennessee Natural Gas pipeline system across Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina.
The program includes replacing existing pipe with larger-diameter pipe and constructing new compressor stations to improve system flexibility and reliability. It filed for FERC approval in July 2023. Key market drivers
